Avery’s “Rhabdo Blast” Project.
I initially met Avery’s family through our collaboration during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM) in September. In respect to Avery being a rhabdomyosarcoma champion, we wanted to make sure he was included on the fun. We invited both him, and his brother Evan, to paint portraits to be raffled off to our CCAM supporters at the end of the month. As a thank you, we created custom Air Force One’s for the two by branding them with temporary tattoos and a “cure blue” matte paint. The unboxing video captured made the entire special project worth it.
Throughout the year, I continued to support Avery's team as they hosted various fundraising events for rhabdomyosarcoma research. Collaborating on multiple campaigns - our aim was to develop effective treatments by understanding tumor cell interactions. Through various campaigns and events, we raised awareness and crucial funds for research. This partnership didn’t just highlight the need for new treatments in childhood cancer, but the incredible support of family partners.
